Canton Weekly News — 30+ firms are now trading real assets on Canton
The DTCC, the clearing house behind most U.S. securities trades, processed its first live trades of tokenized U.S. Treasuries and stocks on Canton last week, with more than 30 major institutions taking part. Ember Protocol also brought tokenized gold and silver onto the network for the first time.

DTCC ran its first live trades of tokenized U.S. Treasuries and stocks on Canton. The DTCC, the clearing house that settles most U.S. securities trades, processed its first real production trades of tokenized U.S. Treasuries and equities on Canton on July 15, with more than 30 institutions including JPMorgan, BlackRock and Goldman Sachs taking part in collateral pledges and repo trades. It moves the December 2025 partnership from testing into live use, ahead of DTCC’s full tokenization service launch in October.
DTCC has not published the full list of firms that took part. The institutions named publicly so far:

Tokenized gold and silver go live on Canton through Ember Protocol. Ember Protocol went live on Canton on July 18, letting users hold tokenized gold (eXAU) and silver (eXAG) backed by the physical metals. It is the network’s first live tokenized commodity, though Ember has not disclosed user or trading figures yet, so real demand is still unproven. CoinMarketCal
Digital Asset introduces a launchpad for issuing tokenized assets on Canton. Digital Asset, the company behind Canton, introduced an upgraded version of its tokenization platform on July 16. It gives banks and asset managers ready-made tools to create and manage tokenized real-world assets, such as funds, bonds and deposits, on Canton without building that infrastructure from scratch. The company says it is already used by more than 35 issuers and supports over 1.5 million transactions a day on Canton. Digital Asset
Canton Strategic’s Q2 report tracks big institutions moving work onto Canton. Canton Strategic Holdings (Nasdaq: CNTN), an investor and Super Validator on the network, published its second-quarter ecosystem report on July 17, covering governance changes, institutional adoption and new apps on Canton. New validator applications were posted to the Canton Foundation tokenomics list on July 15. Implicit approval lands July 22 absent objections. Standouts from the roster:
- BlocCapital (USA): converts privately held real estate into tokenized, programmable collateral.
- Axon (Indonesia): real-time voice AI platform bringing voice agents and their transaction volume on-chain.
- CantonScope (Indonesia): a block explorer and network analytics tool for Canton.

New apps submitted
Synfin (by Cayvox Labs) applied for Featured App status on July 17. Synfin is a Canton-native “best execution” swap tool that compares prices across trading venues and settles directly from a user’s wallet.
